  • Citroën is inviting the public from 14 to 16 June to celebrate its centenary in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, where its story began back in 1919.
  • 100 of the Brand’s iconic models will be on show on rue Linois, in the centre of the neighbourhood dominated for over 50 years by the activity of Citroën’s Javel plants.
  • Visitors will take a journey through time, discovering a 400-metre line-up of models having marked automotive history with their unique body styling and their approach to comfort, from the Type A to the latest concept cars, Ami One Concept and 19_19 Concept.
  • The exceptional exhibition, free of charge for all, will delight the young generation and rekindle the memories of older generations.

The very first Citroën, the Type A, was launched in Paris in June 1919. To celebrate the anniversary, the Brand is creating a buzz in the 15th arrondissement, there where its story began. A few metres from the banks of the Seine, the site of the old Javel plant, a Parisian street will be transformed overnight to surprise passers-by in the early morning. Stretching 400 metres down rue Linois, 100 cars and vans representative of the Brand’s centenary will be exhibited for the pleasure of all.

The iconic models, heralding from private collections and the Conservatoire Citroën, retrace 100 years of boldness and innovation dedicated to the freedom of moment and adventure. The open-air show will feature:

  • 4 concept cars
  • 74 emblematic models
  • 14 motorsport models
  • 3 models symbolising the automotive adventure
  • 5 models from the current range

The Brand is seeking to share its centenary with the greatest number by exhibiting models that have marked not just the Brand’s history but automotive history itself – cars that illustrate all of Citroën’s identity. Citroën is a popular brand that has appealed to motorists through the decades with its bold styling and benchmark comfort dedicated to mobility for all. It is a brand with a unique personality, among the most collected in the world and holding a special place in many households.

The event is guaranteed to surprise passers-by, who will get to enjoy a cultural exhibition free of charge and open to all. Entitled “Born Paris XV”, the show will enable visitors to discover or rediscover a unique heritage over three days in a neighbourhood where life was marked for 50 years by Citroën’s plants.

The open-air museum will be a headlining, must-see event in Paris from 14 to 16 June.
