PARIS DESIGN WEEK: SPOTLIGHT ON LA MAISON CITROËN AND THE LIMITED EDITION NEW E-MEHARI "STYLED BY COURRÈGES"
With French Design Week on from 8 to 16 September, the French capital will be abuzz with the spirit of design and contemporary creation. Citroën is part of the official programme, open to all, with two major events, one at La Maison Citroën, at 39 rue Saint Didier in the 16th arrondissement, and the other featuring the limited edition NEW E-MEHARI Styled By Courrèges, on show at Galerie Joseph, 116 Rue de Turenne in the 3rd arrondissement.
Whether innovating with its new urban dealership concept, La Maison Citroën, or extending the summer in an ultra-hip cabriolet with the limited edition NEW E-MEHARI Styled By Courrèges, the Citroën spirit is more alive than ever, and so it is entirely natural that the Brand take part in September's big event, Paris Design Week.
From 8 to 16 September, the programme, in synergy with the Maison & Objet show, features an array of exhibitions, round-table conferences, openings and evenings all sharing the same goal: to take design out of the confines of the professional fair by creating an event that is open to all. Two Citroën-related venues are part of Paris Design Week:
- Visit of La Maison Citroën at 39 rue Saint Didier, Paris 75016
This intimate 150 m2 venue breaks with traditional automotive sales cues. Having already won a number of awards, it illustrates the new experience that Citroën is creating at points of sale. Visitors will enjoy a physical and digital experience at the new urban dealership concept, opened in May. The concept will soon be rolled out in France and internationally, including in Belgium, Colombia, Morocco, China and Japan.
- Avant-première showing of the limited edition NEW E-MEHARI Styled by Courrèges
The result of a collaborative effort between two iconic French brands, this new version of the all-electric 4-seater cabriolet is being revealed as part of an installation at Galerie Joseph, 116 Rue de Turenne, Paris 75013. Produced in just 61 units – a reference to the year in which Courrèges was founded – the limited edition model contrasts with the white body paint of the initial concept car, a true signature and luminous symbol of the world-renowned fashion house, with its totally different colour: Vinyl Black.
Gallery opening on 8 September from 6 pm to 8 pm: the Citroën communication team will be delighted to receive any visiting media.
